For starters, breaking up with your boyfriend should be something personal which is just between the both of you. It is always very difficult if a third party is allowed to get into the equation. If your boyfriend is close to any member of his family, then it might be a good idea to evaluate your relationship. When I mean close, I mean supernaturally close i.e. there is no way you see your boyfriend without that family member as well. Sometimes it is good because it means that your boyfriend is someone who appreciates close family ties. However, if it gets in the way of your relationship, you just might want to start thinking of saying goodbye.

However, after a while, you will realise that it is not very healthy to have to tell him everything that goes on in your life. Anyway, a healthy relationship is based on mutual respect and trust. You definitely do not need to give him a daily report of what you are doing all the time. This then would probably give you an inkling of the fact that you want to break up with your boyfriend.
